Stay with us
Our home has always had room for travellers.
More than 330 guests from at least 32 countries have stayed with us in central Portugal. Some arrived in vans, some pitched tents and some made the annex their temporary home.

The life of the land
People arrive as guests. Many leave as friends.
There have been community meals, visiting children, shared skills, ordinary days and more than a few gatherings involving cake.
We are so grateful for everyone who has stayed with us and for the friendships that have grown from opening our home. When we look around the land, we still see things people helped to build, plant, repair and create. Their contributions have become part of this place and part of our family story.

Sharing the space
Relaxed, respectful and family friendly.
Conscious contributionContribute what feels fair and manageable for your family. Donations help us care for the land, maintain the facilities and continue welcoming people. The amounts shown are suggested contributions rather than fixed prices.
Children welcomeOur boys love meeting visiting children, making new friends and having others to play with. The land offers a safe space for children to explore with treehouses, dens, a trampoline and a playpark.
Wildlife around usDeer sometimes wander across the land and owls can often be heard calling from the trees.
Pets welcomeWe have two friendly dogs and two quiet cats, and have already welcomed 34 visiting pets. Let us know who is travelling with you so we can make sure everyone will be comfortable.
People pitch inMany of the 330+ guests who have stayed with us have also lent a hand around the land, building things, chopping trees, helping in the garden, cooking us a meal or simply supporting whatever we happened to be working on.
Considerate livingWe are a straight-edge family. Guests do not need to be, but we ask everyone to be thoughtful about smoking and drinking around other people.
